Damien Allen - Sales Manager

1 – Why do you enjoy working in the solar industry?

I enjoy the helping my customers save money. It is a fast growing industry and will remain growing for many years to come. Being a part of that growth is exciting.

2 – What advice would you give you younger self?

Don’t stay in a job that doesn’t make you happy. Find what you want to do and go for it!

3 –  What question are you asked most frequently in your role?

Can I get a $0 bill? My answer is always no. Your home uses power 24/7 and the solar is only running in the hours of the sun. Yes we can design a system that will bring your bill right down but it comes down to the time of use and how you best utilise your system.

4 – Name something on your bucket list? Why?

I would like to go to Florida before I am too much older and enjoy all the Theme Parks.

5 – What piece of advice would you give to somebody enquiry about solar?

Don’t get caught up on price. Do your research on products and companies and use the tools available to you on the internet. The Clean Energy Council website is a great website for research.

Tyris Cartilla - Solar Consultant

1 – Why do you enjoy working in the solar industry?

Solar Technology is the future! The reason why I love working in the industry is because it gives me the opportunity to educate and assist individuals about solar and in turn saving them an abundance of money and becoming eco-friendly.

2 – What advice would you give you younger self?

Don’t forget to take your time in learning new skills and being open to different and unique opportunities when they come.

3 –  What question are you asked most frequently in your role?

An extremely common question we receive in this role is “Can we use the power produced through the day, to use at night?” The only way we can use extra energy produced is through a battery storage unit. Otherwise, the extra power will be sold back into the grid.

4 – Name something on your bucket list? Why?

Skydiving! Looks scary but fun at the same time.

5 – What piece of advice would you give to somebody enquiry about solar?

Do NOT rush into making your decision! Spending thousands of dollars on a quality system is not ‘pocket change’. I encourage all customers to do research into the companies and products to ensure nothing nasty occurs!
