Powerwall 3 features a 13.5 kWh usable capacity and delivers up to 11.04 kW continuous AC power, more than double the Powerwall 2’s output. It supports up to 20 kW of DC solar input directly, eliminating the need for a separate hybrid inverter and reducing system complexity.

It can be mounted indoors or outdoors and handles extreme temperature swings—from coastal humidity to inland heat—thanks to its IP-rated enclosure. At about 130 kg and measuring 1105 × 609 × 193 mm, it fits neatly against garage walls or home exteriors.
A single unit powers critical appliances during grid outages. It can handle motor-start surge loads (up to 185 A), so you can run your air conditioner, hot water, pool pump, and EV charger at once without worry.
Monitoring, Control & Add-Ons
Manage your system through the Tesla mobile app. Features like Storm Watch automatically top up the battery ahead of severe weather, while Charge on Solar prioritises using solar power to charge your EV or your home. Real-time dashboards track generation, storage, and grid usage.
For larger energy needs, you can connect up to four Powerwall 3 units plus expansion packs, scaling total storage up to 40.5 kWh and inverter power up to 44 kW. This makes it ideal for growing households, EV owners, or homes planning solar upgrades.
